Otter's have two litters a year. The females raise the young, which are called kitts, by themselves. They stay with their mother's for a year to learn to hunt and fend for themselves.
JETS was established in 1986 and introduced in 1987, radical new technology for marine vacuum toilet systems. Combining the Helivac technology invented by the Dane, Willy Hohst with a highly efficient macerator, JETS first vacuum generators offered customers new, highly competitive solutions.
In 1989 JETS introduced the now famous Vacuumarator® - a helical screw pump with built-on macerator - giving the market a unique in-line vacuum generator.
JETS vacuum generators and the Vacuumarator® technology is patented and the continuous development carried out by JETS has resulted in the most efficient Vacuumarator® being introduced in 2006.
The Vacuumarator® generates vacuum, macerates the sewage and pumps the effluent to the main treatment plant, a storage tank, or composting system. It greatly simplified the total installation and eliminates the requirement for a tank in order to generate vacuum. Depending on the size of the Vacuumarator® between 120 and 1000 flushes per hour can be achieved.
A vacuum toilet system uses air not water as the transport agent for the toilet waste. A JETS Vacuumarator® works by evacuating air via the waste pipes. This takes place automatically with activation of the flush button. On flushing a valve is opened to the toilet. The air difference thereby occurring ensures that transport of the toilet waste takes place. At the same time, the waste is macerated and pumped to the sewage system, a storage tank or to a BIO tank for composting. The toilet is supplied with a small amount of water to keep it clean. The whole operation takes only a few seconds.
The advantages of the JETS System compared to conventional systems are as follows:

With JETS vacuum toilet gravity is unnecessary, as the system can "raise" the waste to a higher level. As little as 0.5 lt. water per flush compared to 6 ltrs. for a traditional toilet provides a water reduction of approximately 90%. This low water consumption provides a reduced quantity of waste - up to 9% less compared to a traditional toilet. The energy consumption is also extremely low at approximately 4 kwh. per person/year. Normal water flush toilets require 110mm piping. However, the piping between the Jet toilet and the Vacuumerator is only 50mm and because the blades of the Vacuumarator® finely macerate the waste, the pipe dimensions from the Vacuumarator® are reduced to 32mm.
The toilets are manufactured in porcelain and stainless steel and can be supplied for wall or floor mounting. Neither the toilet nor the room need ventilation as the vacuum toilet is in itself a self-contained ventilation mechanism. This provides you with a high level of comfort and an excellent level of sanitation.

Jets introduced their now famous Vacuumarator® in 1989. It is a helical screw pump with a built-on macerator. When coupled with the JETS Vacuum Toilets, it gives you a hygienic and environmentally friendly toilet system.
